Our Background

IDL Technical Services was established in 2023. Our Directors, Stephen Clarkson and James Dockerty have a combined experience of over 60 years in the mechanical and electrical engineering sectors, both self employed and from working within well established Cumbrian firms. IDL has grown organically over the last 3 years, to have an expert team of engineers who are able to resolve a wide range of issues quickly and effectively.

Trusted & Local

IDL was established to provide a local solution for public and private sector organisations with large complex estates. We have built a trusted network of local suppliers and sub-contractors to create our reactive and maintenance services, encompassing all building material infrastructure. The majority of these subcontractors and suppliers are from the local area as we believe in keeping business as local as possible, to strengthen our relationships within the community.

Supporting Communities

We are passionate about the education of the next generation and are committed to developing skills in Cumbria. We work with schools and colleges across Cumbria to support the education of the next generation of engineers. We have multiple apprentices working with us at different stages of their education, to ensure that skills are passed on.
